Université 8 mai 1945 Guelma- Algeria is located at 500 Km in the east of Algiers the capital of Algeria. The University is a multidisciplinary institution with a total of 16.736 students for 2014/2015 – 26 departments and 7 faculties- 62 Master degrees -77 Bachelor degrees – 851 permanent lecturers- 800 employees and 23 research laboratories. Its libraries consist of 200.000 books – A “Center of Information Systems and E-learning” – A massive deployment of ICT by sharing the Internet access for all users. The University has several cooperation contracts with local and national businesses and industries and owns – a Center for Entrepreneurship and International Development “Centre de l’Entrepreneuriat et de Développement International”– an University Center of Information on Employment ”Centre Universitaire d’Information sur l’Emploi ” – a House of Entrepreneurship ”Maison de l’Entrepreneuriat ”- and an Observatory for monitoring the integration of graduates. Also, the University has established cooperation contracts with several HEI from countries of the European Union EU (March Bloch University, Strasbourg, University Jean Monnet Saint-Etienne, University Charles de Gaulle-Lille, Nancy 2 University and the INSA Lyon in France, The University of TURIN in Italy, The University of CASTEL-La Mancha in Spain, Berlin Institute of Technology in Germany, University d’Almeria Spain, University Las Palmas Gran Canaria-Spain, Université de Limoges-France, ISEP Porto-Portugal, Université Mining- Ukraine, Telecom SudParis-France, Université Sherbrooke-Canada, Université de Vasa-Finland, UVT- Tunisia, University do Porto-Porto-Portugal…). Université 8 mai 1945 Guelma has an experience in the participation and management of Tempus and ERASMUS MUNDUS projects. The University has participated in Tempus projects with a first Tempus project FEFEDI closed by January 2013. Now, it is involved in a second Tempus project EOLES (2012), an Erasmus Mundus UNetBA project with Las Palmas University, an Erasmus+ project COFFEE with University of Montpellier- France and the project Tuning Africa with Universidad de Deusto, Bilbao.
